Anti-Trump protesters rally outside Trump Tower

NEW YORK, April 4.

Opponents of former U.S. President Donald Trump, who is due to be indicted on Tuesday, are holding a rally outside his Trump Tower skyscraper in Manhattan.

Traffic on Fifth Avenue, where the skyscraper is located, is not blocked, although it is limited. A truck loaded with flags and symbols in support of the politician occasionally drives by.

On a nearby street, a small demonstration of the ex-president’s opponents lined the road, but the police did not intervene.

Law enforcement officials ask passers-by not to delay. Members of the media are also urged to go behind the fence. It’s impossible to get close to the building.

The number of people outside the courthouse in Manhattan is already reaching several hundred people, but the situation remains generally calm. Most in the crowd are Trump opponents. There are also supporters of the former president. There are also many ordinary New Yorkers, as well as journalists, among the crowd.

According to witnesses, a minor conflict occurred when Trump’s opponents unfurled a banner accusing him, but it was quickly resolved.

Trump is expected to appear in court at 2:15 p.m.
