Anthony Fauci was accused of withholding information about COVID-19

Representatives of the U.S. Congressional Oversight and Government Reform Committee said that White House Chief Medical Adviser Anthony Fauci may have withheld information about the laboratory’s versions of the origin of the Wuhan coronavirus.

“We have released previously unknown emails that show Dr. Fauci may have withheld information regarding the origin of COVID-19 from the Wuhan lab and deliberately downplayed the significance of this theory,” Congressmen James Comer and Jim Jordan wrote on Twitter.

The congressmen claim that Fauci was warned about the possibility of a laboratory leak of the virus as early as February 2020. As such, they intend to investigate whether this information was communicated to the rest of the government and whether it may have changed the U.S. response to the pandemic.

“Given the importance of the questions raised, we demand that Anthony Fauci appear immediately to discuss them in a recorded interview format,” the congressmen’s letter said.
