Airwheel travel case will give you a ride to the terminal
If you’ve ever traveled abroad, you know exactly how much of a burden your own suitcase can be a few minutes before boarding the plane. The developers from the Trunki company decided to modernize the travel trunk, turning it into a curious vehicle. The novelty is called Airwheel, and is capable of not only eliminating the need to carry luggage or roll it behind you, but also to take its owner to the terminal.
It has not yet gone on sale, but a fundraising campaign has been launched on Kickstarter to set up production. The new suitcase is equipped with a powerful battery, wheels, and steering. It can hold a rider weighing up to 290 pounds, accelerates up to 6 mph, and remains autonomous when fully loaded for at least 1 hour. On the aluminum body there are two USB-ports that can be used to charge mobile electronics.
The suitcase weighs 7.5 kilograms, meets all safety standards and fits easily in the overhead luggage compartment. The settings are configured through a mobile app, where you can run a luggage search mode if necessary. If you’re sure you want one, you need to invest $459 to get one in February 2023.
