AI-powered helmet will completely rid motorcyclists of blind spots

Intelligent Cranium Helmets has announced that it is close to finalizing the certification process for its iC-R line of helmets. This line of helmets caught the attention of CES-2025 attendees because they utilize artificial intelligence to keep motorcyclists safe.

The iC-R helmets have two compact rearview cameras with a 240-degree field of view. Plus a front camera with a 120-degree field of view that, in addition to warning of obstacles ahead, also acts as an action camera to record video of daredevil rides. This saves riders from installing attachments on the helmet, reduces the weight of the design and extends battery life. The cameras are voice-activated.

The helmet weighs 1.71 kg, has a battery life of 5-7 hours and can be recharged on the move. The display in front of the user’s eyes displays useful information, and there is also a warning system for interference, dangerous proximity and the risk of driving outside the lane. While on the move, you can communicate with friends via three types of wireless communication. If there is an accident and no one is nearby, after 15 seconds of the person being stationary, the system automatically sends a distress signal to the emergency services with the coordinates.

The iC-R range is divided into four helmets depending on functionality and battery capacity. The most economical model will cost $650, the most productive and powerful one will cost $1850. However, it is still more favorable than buying a reliable helmet and trying to equip it with various electronics.
