A chemical plant caught fire in New Jersey

A chemical plant in Passaic, New Jersey, is engulfed in flames, with black smoke visible above the scene. This was reported by the NBC channel.

The fire broke out Friday night, and firefighters from neighboring towns were drawn to the scene. “No evacuations are required at this time, all local residents are asked to close their windows and stay away from the scene,” Mayor Hector Lora said on his Facebook page.

Nearby streets and highways are blocked. Information about possible victims is not given yet.
