Mueller Report: Russian Interference In The 2016 Presidential Election

Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the US presidential election in 2016 was made public yesterday.
The US Justice Department on Thursday published on its website an edited version of the Mueller report on the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
As described in the report, “Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election principally through two operations. First, a Russian entity carried out a social media campaign that favored presidential candidate Donald J. Trump and disparages presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Second, a Russian intelligence service conducted computer-intrusion operations against entities, employees, and volunteers working on the Clinton Campaign and then released stolen documents.”
In addition, Mueller states in the report that the Russian Federation wanted Trump to be elected president, however “the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”
Charges of “collusion against the USA” and fraud are brought to group of Russians and three private companies. In addition, a number of Trump supporters and former members of his campaign staff were charged variously, none of which is related to “collusion with Russia”. The Russian authorities categorically deny involvement in the interference in the election or any collusion with Trump
