Syntilay is the world’s first shoe designed by Artificial Intelligence
Syntilay has unveiled the world’s first shoes created by artificial intelligence and printed on a 3D printer. This model, which can be classified as slip-on sandals, is designed using the most advanced technologies. The exact composition of the material is not disclosed, presumably it is thermoplastic polyurethane. The creation process began with the formation of the basic shape using Midjourney’s AI.
Then, the artist drew on Midjourney’s output to create a sketch, which was processed using Vizcom’s neural network to create a 3D model. In the final stage, generative AI gave the model a customized look. Syntilay invites each customer to scan their feet with their cell phone to ensure a perfect fit. The novelty is offered in five colors. The price per pair is $150, regardless of the color chosen.
Syntilay, led by 25-year-old Ben Weiss, is looking to carve a niche for itself in the nearly $100 billion footwear market. In the near future, the company plans to increase production to build brand awareness and then move on to creating unique designs for influencers and brands that can sell them under their own name.
