Donald Trump has begun preparing for his debate with Harris
U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump has already begun preparations for the election debate, scheduled for the first decade of September, with his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris. This was reported by The New York Times.
According to its information, to prepare for the debate with the Vice President of the United States, Trump has enlisted former Democrat and member of the House of Representatives from the state of Hawaii Tulsi Gabbard, who participated in the election race in 2020.
A statement from Trump spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt, excerpted by the publication, indicated that the former president “does not need traditional debate preparation, but will continue to meet with respected policy advisers and effective communicators, including Tulsi Gabbard, who defeated Kamala Harris in the 2020 debate.”
According to the publication, Trump has already spent more time preparing for debates in 2024 than he did in 2016 and 2020. It is noted that in meetings with his advisers, he is working through various tough questions that he may be asked during the debate and also asking his aides to act as moderators.
Harris and Trump’s election debate is expected to take place on September 10 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and will be moderated by ABC television.
