Keanu Reeves has released a fantasy novel co-authored with China Miéville
Keanu Reeves has tried his hand at a new endeavor with the fantasy work The Book of Elsewhere. Co-author Reeves was British writer China Miéville, a multiple nominee and winner of the most prestigious awards in the world of science fiction and fantasy – “Hugo”, “Nebula”, “Locus” and others. Chayna himself refers his own work to the genre of “weird fiction” and admits that a certain influence on his style had a certain influence on the texts of Howard Lovecraft.
So far, the book Reeves and Miéville were able to evaluate only critics. Their opinions differ, but agree in one thing – the work of the creative tandem can really be called strange. The novel begins with a jerky prologue, which quickly spirals into a dashing plot spiral. The book is a juicy, blood-soaked epic, excerpted in a unique style.
The work is inspired by the BRZRKR comic book that Reeves previously co-created with Matt Kindt. All 12 issues are dedicated to an immortal warrior, a demigod who, after living for 80,000 years, dreams of dying but turns into a formidable and ruthless killing machine in the service of the U.S. government.
