Biden’s staff will spend $50 million to discredit Trump before the debate

The campaign headquarters of the current U.S. President Joe Biden intends to spend in the run-up to the June 27 debate $50 million on advertising that discredits former U.S. leader Donald Trump.

It is about the launch of a 30-second video clip. “It’s a choice between a convicted felon who only cares about himself and a president who fights for your family,” is the slogan of Joe Biden’s ad campaign. The video will begin airing June 17 in so-called swing states that have shown Biden trailing Trump in the polls.

On May 30, a jury in New York found Trump responsible for forging Trump Organization financial documents while paying money to former porn actress Stormy Daniels. Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts.

The sentencing is scheduled for July 11, four days before the Republican Party’s national convention, which will be held July 15-18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Trump is a defendant in several other cases, including storming the Capitol, improper storage of classified documents, and interference in the 2020 US presidential election.

The U.S. Constitution imposes no restrictions on presidential candidates based on criminal records. Therefore, Trump will be able to both run for and hold the presidency.
