McDonald’s launches CosMc’s, a chain of small format restaurants

McDonald’s will open the first location of its new CosMc’s small-format cafe chain in suburban Chicago this week. The new chain will grow to 10 locations by the end of 2024.

“Our universe expands this week as McDonald’s begins testing CosMc’s, a new small-format beverage concept,” the company said in a statement on its website. The new chain’s first location will open this week in suburban Chicago.

The menu will feature both tried-and-true dishes like McMuffins and McFlurries, as well as new items like churros and pretzels. CosMc’s plans to open about 10 pilot CosMc’s locations by the end of 2024.
