Google has developed a chatbot Bard - a direct competitor to ChatGPT
The emergence of OpenAI’s ChatGPT and its resounding success was a kind of challenge to Internet giant Google, which was followed by an expected response. It became known about the presentation of chat-bot Bard, which was held in Paris at a traditional event “Google Presents”.
According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, it is an experimental conversational service with AI based on the LaMDA platform. Bard will use information from the Internet to answer queries in detail.
To make Bard more accessible to “unadvanced” users, Google will first present a light version of LaMDA, which does not require special skills, and only after testing the final version of the service will be released, taking into account feedback from participants.
Pichai said that since user requests become more complex and specific all the time, the service will include features that transform complex information into easily digestible information. In March, the Bard development team will be invited to learn about the LaMDA-based Generative Language API.
