Twitter Blue subscription to be relaunched on December 12
The sale of the Twitter Blue subscription, which allows accounts to get a verification tick on Twitter, will resume on Monday. This is announced on the official page of the social network on Twitter.
We’re relaunching Twitter Blue on Monday, sign up on the web version for $8 a month or on iOS for $11 a month to get access to features available only to subscribers, including the blue tick,” the post said.
Subscribers will see half as many ads, be able to post longer videos on their page and get early access to new features. In addition, accounts with Twitter Blue will appear higher in search, mentions and comment lists.
Subscribers will be able to change their description, name and profile photo. In this case, however, the verification tick will disappear before the page is rechecked.
Elon Musk closed a $44 billion deal on Oct. 27 to acquire Twitter, the company that owns the social network of the same name. On Nov. 6, he announced his intention to introduce paid account verification as part of his Twitter Blue subscription. Subscription sales were suspended on November 10 due to an increase in the number of fake accounts.
