Trump called his daughter’s questioning of the Capitol assault a shame

Former U.S. President Donald Trump called the questioning of his daughter Ivanka by the congressional committee investigating the Capitol assault “shameful.

Ivanka Trump testified before the committee investigating the Capitol assault. The trial lasted eight hours, with Trump’s daughter speaking via video link.

“Shame and persecution,” Trump said, commenting on the situation.

Donald Trump stressed that he did not know what his daughter had told committee members. He added that he did not delete the call logs after noon on Jan. 6, 2021.

An investigative committee formed in the House of Representatives has already questioned several hundred people behind closed doors, requested White House records from the archives and initiated criminal prosecution of two former Trump advisers, Stephen Bannon and Mark Meadows, for refusing to testify.

In early March, the committee investigating the Capitol assault said that former President Trump may have committed fraud in an attempt to overturn the election results.
