The Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union Stephen Barclay said that the vote on alternative options for the UK’s withdrawal from the EU may cause early parliamentary elections.
“If parliament votes for contradicting the political manifesto of the party, we will have to solve this problem,” said Barclay.
According to him, the elections will not be the only one, but a likely option.
He also added that for the British authorities the results of voting on Brexit alternatives “will not be binding”.
