Corporate ideologists and managers have a big problem – more and more Western companies are facing the refusal of employees to return to the office from working remotely. As it follows from the research of Atomik Research agency, people are ready to give up some of the benefits, and even reduce wages for the sake of retaining the opportunity to work remotely. About 40% state that they are too used to comfortable working environment in the company of their pets.
The total number of those who do not want to return to the office is 96%. And they are not difficult to understand – 88% of respondents said that they achieved greater efficiency in working remotely. In 82% of cases, productivity has increased, so people are willing to take a salary cut of 20-30%, as they can still earn enough for the same amount of labor and time. And this was a significant blow to the myth that coordinated work in the office is the key to success in big business – the reality sets other priorities.
Employers will now find it much more difficult to hire specialists, because the former bonuses are losing their relevance. For example, 38% of respondents are ready to give up the previously so important health insurance, because their level of stress and stress on the body has decreased by one-third when working remotely. About 33% fear that when they return to the office their job satisfaction will drop drastically, so 38% of people are willing to give up paid vacations just to avoid it.
And 10% of respondents are willing to sacrifice all benefits and half of their salary just to stay home and work in the arms of their favorite cat or dog and not to have face-to-face contact with their colleagues and supervisors.
